Visitor Experience in Pollok Park, Glasgow: A Collaborative Consultation Initiative

A consultation project in collaboration with Glasgow Council to analyse how to make the visitor offer in Pollok Park, Glasgow better.


Project Overview:

This project represents a strategic collaboration between our consultancy team and Glasgow Council, focusing on the enhancement of the visitor experience in Pollok Park, one of Glasgow's most cherished green spaces. The initiative aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the current visitor offer at Pollok Park and develop actionable strategies to improve it, ensuring that the park continues to be an inviting and enjoyable destination for all visitors.


Objectives:


  1. Assessment of Current Visitor Experience: Conduct a thorough evaluation of the existing facilities, services, and attractions available to visitors in Pollok Park, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including park visitors, local community members, park management, and tourism professionals, to gather insights and perspectives on the current visitor experience and potential enhancements.
  3. Market Analysis: Examine trends and best practices in park management and visitor experience enhancement from similar urban parks globally to inform the development of innovative strategies for Pollok Park.
  4. Strategy Development: Formulate a comprehensive set of recommendations to improve the visitor offer in Pollok Park, focusing on aspects such as accessibility, engagement, facilities, and programming.
  5. Implementation Plan: Develop a detailed plan for the implementation of the recommended strategies, including timelines, resource allocation, and success metrics.

Methodology:


  • Data Collection: Utilize a mix of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and site observations, to gather comprehensive data on the visitor experience.
